A Bit About Me
Julie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor in California and Texas. She graduated from CSULB with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and then received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. Additionally, she completed her Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University in 2022. This program was developed during her doctoral program in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and then morphed into her dissertation after she saw the need for more mental health services in the school as a result of COVID-19 and the global pandemic. She took her experience as a school-based therapist in Compton and Watts at a community based mental health agency and her experience across her private practices in California and Texas. She is passionate about bringing more awareness, easier access, and better quality of mental health services directly to children and teens at their school.

Julie specializes in trauma work and has extensive experience with trauma, PTSD, chronic illness/pain, military, and is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP).
